A little bit Country!

Hey Stash Of Sass! Hope all of you had a lovely weekend! Here is an outfit I intended to feature during the fashion week frenzy but due to school work and poor time management I was unable to post it on time. Stay tune for an updated blogging schedule toward the beginning of March!
Have a wonderful week!

Navy is the New Black!

Happy Sunday Stash of Sass! Hopefully this post finds all of you warm and well! While it is a beautiful, sunny day where I'm at it is also freezing cold which makes me want to curl up in a little ball and drink hot coffee all day. Anyway, Lately (as you may have notice from my other recent posts) I have been loving navy! Until recently, navy was never really a part of my closet. Instead, I always opted for something black.
Then, at the beginning of the new year, I decided that I wanted to introduce a new color into my wardrobe. I stumbled upon a navy and pink Lilly Pulitzer dress one day at a consignment store and realized how much I enjoyed the color and from that day on I have been trying to integrate more navy into my closet! I especially love the dress featured below because of the lace sleeves. I think the unlined lace adds a touch of elegance to the simple silhouette of the dress.

Stripes and Leather!

Good morning Stash of Sass!!! Hope you are having a wonderful Saturday so far! I was so excited to wake up to a sunny morning where I'm at in the world. It has been kind of dreary lately and having a sunny day definitely makes me want to be more productive and excited about what life has in store for today :)
For today's fashion week outfit post I chose to feature this really cute flare dress from Guess. I have had this dress in my closet for a few month now and just haven't had a reason to wear it until now. Every time I would think of wearing it I would be unsure about how I felt about the navy and black together in one dress ( Yes, I know I'm a weirdo but typically I really HATE navy and black together! Its right up there with black and brown matched together and silver and gold all mixed together in one outfit!!!) Anyhow, I finally decided to create an outfit with it the other day while I was cleaning out my closet and I decided that in this case I'm alright with navy and black in one outfit. I think its because of the fit of the dress to be honest. I just love how it is form fitting through the bodice of the dress and then flares at the bottom. The silhouette is so feminine but the colors and the leather crop jacket I chose to pair with it add some edge.
Have a great Saturday Stash of Sass!

In My Red High Heels!

The weekend is finally here ladies and gents! Do you guys have any fun and exciting plans for Valentine's Day? To be honest, I do not. I will more than likely being working on an essay for my business law class and putting the finishing touches on a paper for American literature but as I have said before such is the life of a student :) Who knows, I might finish early in which case I will get some creative work done on my designs for the spring!
Anyhow, I thought for the third fashion week outfit I would feature a look with a little more of an artsy vibe to it. The dogwood on the t-shirt is actually one of the first designs I ever put on a t shirt way back in high school and I have had the red skirt for years as well. Hope you guys like it and have a Happy Valentine's day and a great weekend!

Sweater: Love Tree (thrifted)
Skirt: Forever 21 (purchased before I was aware of the negative impacts of fast fashion on the environment and the people in foreign countries who are often forced to work way too many hours in poor working conditions to meet our overwhelming demand for these trendy product which are often unfortunately discarded just as quickly as they were purchased!)
Shoes: Rampage
Bag: The Limited (thrifted)

PS: If you guys are unaware of the negative impacts of fast fashion and the unethical practices that many clothing brands allow in the production of their clothing I encourage you to do your own research about your favorite brands. I plan to begin posting more about this topic in the near future but I think it is very important for everyone to do their own research and develop their own opinion's on the matter. Don't just take my word for it!
